With this benevolent gesture, the Pasco Police Department came together to grant one of the wishes of Eddie, a terminally ill pit bull.
Recently, a sick dog was sworn in as an “Honorary K9” for a day.
He was very selfless in his duties, visiting local stores and collecting charity items for the shelter!
The poor dog had an inoperable tumor and only had 6-12 months to live.
He participated in a palliative care program with volunteer Mikey’s Chance Canine Rescue.
When the cops discovered his hobbies, they immediately decided to help him achieve his main desire.
Eddie was smiling all day! He was showered with love and many goodies from the stores he visited.
He even managed to give an «interview» in his rugged uniform and badge.
And at the end of the day, he was able to dive into the pool, which was full of dog toys! What a cute canine officer!
