Easton, a young boy from Canada, was offered the choice of any pet in the animal shelter.
The young boy looked at all the hairy faces he could find on the Exploits Valley SPCA Adoptables Facebook page. There were a lot of adorable puppies and kittens, but Easton landed on a 10-year-old cat named Tiny.
«We mailed it as a courtesy post so he wouldn’t have to come to the shelter until he was absolutely necessary,» Exploits Valley SPCA told Love Meow.
Contrary to its name, Tiny is actually quite large.

The large red cat has been described by the shelter as «limited weight» and «shy». Tiny has a «big round belly that he likes to have rubbed,» said Exploits Valley SPCA Adoptables.
Tiny was initially brought to the shelter with his sister, Trinity. Their previous owner could no longer take care of them and was forced to return the cats to them.
They both remained hopeful in the possibility of being adopted when Easton’s mother decided they would take in a new pet.

Trinity wasn’t so attached to her brother and may still be looking for a house forever, but Tiny belonged to Easton at the time he laid eyes on the cat. This was even more evident after their first visit to the shelter.
«Easton loved Tiny because Tiny loved him. He never retreated around him as soon as he saw him,» Easton’s mother told Love Meow.

«The family officially sealed the deal by signing the adoption documents and an incredible image taken on the way home showed Tiny lounging, or rather taking complete control, on the lap of its new owner,» Exploits Valley SPCA later posted on Facebook.
«On the way home, Tiny got out of his cage and huddled up to his new owner and has been glued to him ever since.»
