How about a headline: “Heroic feline saves baby from freezing to death on Russian street”. Yes, you read correctly, there is a cat in Russia, named Masha, who simply saved the life of a child.
We all know that animals have a unique instinct and ability to sense when something is wrong.
All her life, Masha had lived on the cold roads of Obinisk, a city in Russia.

Fortunately, there are caring people living in Masha’s neighborhood.
She is given food, a couple of such people also let Masha into their homes when it is very cold at night.
Irna Lavoraa, 68, is one such caring person, who owns a house in the area. One day, while Irna was throwing away her garbage, she heard an unusual sound.
It seemed to come from the cellar. The more she listened, the more she understood that it was the sound of a feline meow.
Fearing that Masha would be hurt, Irnaa rushed down the stairs.

Either way, what she found in the cold, damp basement space stunned her.
There lay an abandoned child in a cardboard box on the floor. Also, only by him was Masha.
Officers later confirmed the baby, estimated to be almost 12 weeks old, had been lying alone in the crate for a few hours.
In any case, the child was warm – all because Masha was lying very close to him.
Without Masha’s precious company and warm body, the little baby would undoubtedly be dead.

The child was taken to the hospital, but Masha’s maternal instinct did not release when the ambulance arrived to take the child to the hospital. As reported by paramedics, the feline chased them after they took off.
Witnesses added that the feline sat in one place for quite some time, looking for the ambulance to return.
The child reportedly recovered well and the police began to search his parents.

“She (Masha) is exceptionally calm and friendly, so when I heard her meow, at first I thought she might have hurt herself. But no doubt it was just her maternal instinct taking over and she needed to secure the baby,” Irna Lavora said.
Kudos to Masha for this crazy display of feline heroism. Also, don’t stress, she is pretty well taken care of by her neighbors.
