Staff at the Detroit dog shelter where Captain lives knew little about him when he arrived at their shelter.
The dog was found on the street looking for food. He was very hungry and sick, wearing only a red collar. But they soon discovered that he had a particular bedtime habit.
The shelter has a large number of dog beds, none of which appeal to the dog in the least.
Every night, the dog catches up with them for the benefit of his cage.
A cardboard box of any size is the only way for him to sleep, because it’s the only way.
The dog had to be treated for a respiratory infection and a heartworm upon arrival at the shelter. He has since made a full recovery and is everyone’s favourite.
Millman-Rinaldi says the captain is an adorable little boy. He has the best wagging tail and likes to show off his unusual tricks.
Despite everything he went through, he remained very kind. He knows his basic commands and walks well on a leash.
According to his adoption list, the dog Captain is a shy male and would like to live in a house with a female owner. He gets along well with most dogs, but should be introduced to new friends with caution.
