Altoona resident Steve Moore adopted the 3-year-old dog, Jackson, from a shelter and spent the next month training him to accept distractions.
This involved many treats and trips to high-traffic areas where the soft golden honed his impulse control skills.
«Everyone wants to take him home,» Steve said. «I think it’s amazing because four weeks ago, nobody wanted him.»
